Areej holds an MBA in Public Governance. She has led and conducted several campaigns for the Syrian and Iraqi refugees in cooperation with Caritas; programmes such as non-formal education, remedy education, school kit preparation, training of preschool nannies and open days activities. 

Areej also volunteered for Injaz- Jordan teaching teenage students at a less fortunate school leadership skills, teamwork and communication skills. Co-founded and effectively co-led the International Academy - Amman towards its accomplishments. Developed, directed, and budgeted the preparation of various school events and revenue projections. Successfully raised funds for different school activities in restricted periods of time. Extensive experience in handling a variety of different clientele through various levels of communication, from students, administrators and teachers to parents.

Areej is currently acting as Principal at the British International Academy, which is an all-girls school that enables young women to contribute to their society and their country's economy. She also founded and co-managed a number of educational institutes under a company called Thaqafaty; (mathCLUB, Little Einsteins, CCO, Lughati, Campus) and led them to success. Thaqafaty owns a number of other institutes (Tilawati, the will Company, Kiszamnia). 

In addition, she led the marketing team at Teamwork, developing several key marketing plans and strategies that suited each account based on their target audience and preferred media. Services varied between graphic design, ad campaigns, media planning, brand development, press advertising, corporate identity, web solutions, social media marketing, SMS marketing, email marketing, CSR, BTL, ATL.

Areej also restructured the management process at the Arab Cultural Society and helped in auditing the internal governance of the institute. Prepared budget and financial statements of both the Society and its main project, Al Raed Al Arabi school.
