About Us
The MBI Alumni Association is a global collective of highly skilled graduates and professionals who have received academic scholarships from the MBI Al Jaber Foundation.
Since the 1990s, the MBI Foundation has given hundreds of promising students from the Middle East and North Africa the chance to continue their education in some of the best universities across the UK and Europe. These Alumni were chosen because we believe they all had the potential to be future leaders, and that investment in their future is paramount to the success of the MENA region.
We believe that sustainable education is the key to peace building in the Middle East. We believe that the skills and experiences gained studying in the West will help build bridges with the MENA countries through the exchange of information, new ideas and a shared understanding of the challenges that lay ahead.
Today our graduates are performing important work across a range of diverse fields, including, scientific research, engineering, computer sciences, humanities, global politics, literature, art, media and design. We are proud to have given them the chance to excel… and look forward to seeing how their lives and careers develop over the coming years and decades.

We believe that education has a major role to play in both the advancement of the Middle East... and in breaking down barriers between the people of the Middle East and the wider world.

Together we have helped foster mutual understanding, shared knowledge and meaningful growth… and helped push forward the cultural dialogue between the West and the Middle East.
Good Governance
Many of our Alumni are employed in pivotal positions - across numerous sectors - where we can champion the policies of good governance and advance the causes of fairness and human rights.
