While studying for a postgraduate degree in Ethnomusiology at SOAS, Tarek said that if it were not for the existence of the MBI Al Jaber Foundation scholarship programme, he would not have been able to finance the expense of taking his degree in London


Basil graduated in 2002 with a postgraduate degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS. He is now working in the Middle East Trading Department for Kolmar Group AG, a worldwide trading company located in Zug in Switzerland.


Fadel graduated from the University of Westminster in 2002 with an MSc, he has since gained a PhD in Virology from Imperial College, University of London, in Medical Molecular Microbiology... and is now working at the Central Laboratory and Blood Bank in Riyadh as a Virology Laboratory Consultant in the Virology Department.


Reem graduated from LSE in 2001 with a postgraduate degree in Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management. She is the Vice President of Business Development at Saudi HRD.


Monette completed her MA in Tourism Management at the University of Westminster in 2001 and was awarded a Merit. She is now working as a Project Manager in Heritage Management for the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage.


Rania is the Horn of Africa Team Leader at the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in New York. Rania joined UNOCHA in 2008 as a Humanitarian Affairs Officer from her post as Political Affairs Officer with the United Nations Advance Mission in Khartoum, Sudan.


Rana holds the prestigious post of Director at Nardello & Co., a financial consulting company based in Dubai. She is an expert in conducting investigations throughout the Middle East and North Africa where she has lived, worked and traveled extensively.


Majida graduated in 2001 from SOAS with an MA in Development Studies. Several months after returning to Palestine, she was offered a job at BirZeit University where she worked as a Project Manager with the European Commission’s Human Rights Programme.


Majeda graduated from SOAS in 2001 with an MA in Development Studies. On completing her degree, she informed people in Gaza about the MBI Al Jaber Foundation and encouraged students she thought would be suitable, to apply for scholarships.


Currently responsible for stakeholder management of IOC Partners in NEAG & AeSW concessions in Egypt’s Western Desert; including coordinating Technical Committee Meetings, providing technical support for commercial negotiations, partner alignment on asset strategy, work program and budget.
